About Hospice of Central Georgia

The focus of hospice relies on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.


Hospice of Central Georgia is a charitable not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care for persons with life-limiting illnesses and offering support for their families. Professional staff and volunteers provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to enhance the quality of life for those served. A part of the Central Georgia Health System, Hospice of Central Georgia is a resource for the community in the areas of education, bereavement support and adjustment to loss.
  • Hospice of Central Georgia is the only not-for-profit located in Bibb County.
  • Hospice of Central Georgia serves twelve counties including Bibb, Baldwin, Bleckley, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Peach, Taylor, Twiggs and Wilkinson.
  • Pine Pointe, the only inpatient hospice home, will open this summer as an extension of our services in caring for those nearing life's end.
  • During the past twelve months, Hospice of Central Georgia has
    • provided comfort care to approximately 300 patients with life-limiting illnesses
    • provided 667 hours of sitter services for our Hospice families,
    • conducted Adult Grief Support Group with for 238 participants,
    • conducted "Rainbows", a children's grief workshop with 65 participants,
    • presented 70 children with Skyler Bears.
