For two decades, The Children’s Hospital at The Medical Center of Central Georgia has been the primary source of healthcare for sick and injured kids from more than 29 Central and South Georgia counties.  Each child, from our cancer and sickle cell patients to our premature infants and trauma victims, receives unsurpassed medical attention, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.  This year alone, over 45,000 little patients will visit The Children's Hospital with the simple hope of feeling better.  As a regional referral hospital, we need to be prepared to meet their needs with as much technology as possible to guarantee their healthy futures.

In its recent history, The Children’s Hospital has seen a surge of growth in two areas—the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Oncology/Hematology Center.

With a consistent maximum occupancy rate, our NICU desperately needs to add 6 beds and required equipment to ease the burden of overcrowding.  This will ensure the best care possible for those tiny patients who enter the world too soon and need our help.

Moreover, The Children’s Hospital is the only Oncology/Hematology Center between Atlanta and Gainesville, Florida offering specialized treatment for childhood cancer and blood disorders like sickle cell anemia.  Thus, expansion of the Children’s Cancer Center is vital to keep pace with patient demand.

Until we reach the day when no child is born too soon, carries the weight of cancer, or suffers the pain of sickle cell anemia, we will need The Children’s Hospital at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.  Please help our next generation grow healthy and strong by making a financial commitment to Medcen’s campaign to expand the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Oncology/Hematology Center at The Children’s Hospital.  Make a miracle happen today!
