For more than twenty years, The Children's Hospital at The Medical Center of Central Georgia has been caring for Central Georgia's kids. From tiny babies beginning life in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to children receiving care in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) from car accidents and other trauma injuries, The Children's Hospital delivers unsurpassed medical care specifically designed for pediatric patients.
Two decades of committed staff, physicians, and philanthropists also have precipitated technologically superior pediatric cancer and sickle cell programs. Now, Central and South Georgia families can receive world-class medical treatment close to home.
Continuing their quest to provide the highest quality healthcare to this region, The Children's Hospital is working to establish a new component to their services—an intermediate care services unit. Patients benefit from these services when their illness or injury is not severe enough for intensive care, but too critical for them to be cared for on the general floor.
The Hospital also needs to update several pieces of medical equipment. Many of these life-saving tools used by The Children's Hospital are unique in that they are made to be child-friendly to expose patients to as few stressors as possible during hospitalization.
The success of The Children's Hospital relies on funds from charitable citizens like you. As our community keeps its promise to raise a healthy and strong new generation, The Children's Hospital at The Medical Center of Central Georgia will be there to treat, regardless of ability to pay, the more than 45,000 young patients who will visit this year alone.
Help guarantee our children a healthy future. Make a gift to The Children's Hospital today.
