About Us
Supporting Our Community's Health
In
1895, a group of community-minded citizens raised funds to create
the Macon Hospital, now The Medical Center of Central Georgia .Much
has changed at The Medical Center, but the generosity of its supporters
remains a steadfast tradition in our community.
Founded in 1973, the Medcen Community Health Foundation encourages
private donations and community support to fund capital needs and
medical education and research.
You can help us make a difference in the health of our community.
Contact us to learn how
you can help change lives through our capital campaign to build
a comprehensive Cancer Life Center. Our vision is to become a state-wide
recognized leader providing comprehensive cancer care services centralized
in an identifiable, accessible facility in which physicians, hospital,
and supportive care professionals are based. The 36-month campaign
will be a philanthropic community-wide effort that will result in
tremendous patient care benefits in our region. If you would like
to support these efforts or if you would like to be involved, contact
